EXPLORING 3D WEBSITE AS 3D IDENTITY
EXPLORING 3D WEBSITE AS 3D IDENTITY
Websites have become a crucial touchpoint between businesses and consumers. What once started as a simple information platform on the web has now evolved into a central hub for a company's brand identity and communication. This project aims to redesign an existing 2D-based website not only to convey information but also to provide a rich visual experience, enhance immersion, and strengthen the connection with users.
To achieve this goal, the project considers the development of cutting-edge technologies in recent years, such as Extended Reality (XR), to construct a three-dimensional 3D website. This 3D platform is designed to engage users with an enhanced identity, utilizing the immersive potential of 3D technology. The design of a 3D website necessitates a different approach and strategy compared to traditional 2D websites.
This project documents the specific process and strategic approach to building a 3D website with a three-dimensional identity as its core structure.

XR media such as VR, AR, and MR, which emerged with the development of technology, provide users with a sense of depth similar to reality through both eyes of the user, allowing them to experience a 3D environment. In addition to visual illusions, XR media tracks information such as the user's head movement, direction, and location in real time and provides environmental changes accordingly.
In 3D interface design, the user, or human factor, is an important element at the center of all designs. Interaction methods related to the user's information processing, vision perception, and physical ergonomics are the basis for three-dimensional interface design.

Kaplan's research on environmental preference provides unique insights into human perception of 2D and 3D environments. The study describes four characteristics concerning visual representation in understanding and exploring environments:
Consistency, Complexity, Legibility, and Mystery.
Consistency: When an environment is well-organized and predictable, people tend to prefer it.
Complexity: Environments with various elements and features can capture people's interest.
Legibility: People prefer environments that are easy to interpret and navigate, preventing them from getting lost.
Mystery: Environments that contain some mystery or unknown elements tend to pique people's curiosity and encourage exploration.
Intro:
It begins as a visual form that symbolizes the brand's identity while simultaneously connecting the multi-layered structure and context of information in a three-dimensional manner. Users can experience the company's identity and the depth of information architecture through this.
IA:
The goal is to create a structure that users can intuitively understand. Information is organized in a three-dimensional manner to make it easy for users to grasp the relationships between content.
Content Design:
Content design should be crafted to maintain readability even within a 3D space. Important content and information are strategically placed to capture the user's attention, and the layout is designed in a way that naturally guides the user's gaze.
Navigation:
Complex menu buttons are eliminated, and the three-dimensional structure of the website itself serves as the navigation. Users intuitively experience the menu by exploring the space.
Through our unwavering "efforts" throughout every project, we continuously "expand" our expertise in the field of digital design. Our vision is one of "constant innovation in the digital design field," and our mission is to create "digital designs that inspire people.”
